Leeds at Home
Commissioned by MPB
MPB is a major online business dedicated to the secondhand photographic equipment market – sort of like Vinted but for cameras. Based in Brighton they are also one of the main sponsors of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. My brief was to find a unique way to cover a single match: BHAFC vs Leeds United. I walked around the pitch before the start of the game and looked for one specific fan or set of fans that would be interesting to watch for the 90 minutes. Settling on a trio of boys: two brothers and their friend who was holding a beautifully made homemade sign, I sat down on my stool, with my back to the pitch, and didn’t see a single kick of the ball from that moment onwards. The homemade sign paid off and the story had the perfect ending. I couldn’t have picked a better set of subjects. Lucky.
